GOOD TO KNOW

Here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions. Can’t find the answer you’re looking for ?Feel free to get in touch.

Do I need previous experience?

No. You don’t need any previous experience for any of our lessons or group activities.

But for social paddles, guided tours and special events prior experience is required.

What should I wear?
All year-round shoes/ flip flops/ wetsuit boots etc are required to walk from the meeting point, over the rocks to the paddleboards.

Winter through to June we recommend everyone wears a wetsuit (provided) as the sea temperature is still quite chilly. July onwards on warm days you can just wear swimwear, or wetsuits are always available.

Do you have changing rooms?

We do not have dedicated changing rooms however we can provide some privacy while changing inside our SUP storage area.

What should I bring?

Shoes/ wetsuit boots/ flip flops to walk over rocks to the paddleboards.

A towel for changing and spare clothes if not wearing a wetsuit.

Sun cream and hat (fingers crossed!)

Can I bring my own equipment?
If you have your own wetsuit/ other paddling gear, we recommend using it.
We provide great quality boards however if you would like to have your lesson on your own board please feel free to bring it along!
Where are you based?
We are based by the arch way in the Royal William Yard. To find us simply drive/ walk into the yard and follow the one way system where you will see us by the car parks.
Do I need to pay for parking?
If you choose to park in the Royal William Yard you will need to pay and display, payment can be with card or cash.
There is free parking for 3 hours on devils point but often on weekends and during the summer parking is in high demand.
